About Me
I was born in Kent and began my working life in market research in London before discovering a lasting connection with clay. A move to rural Kent gave me the time and space to study ceramics and over the past twenty five years this practice has gradually moved to the centre of my life. I am now based in the Yorkshire Dales living and working in a completely off-grid home where my studio and kiln are powered entirely by wind and solar energy. I am not a production potter; my making is often gently dictated by the weather with still days limiting firings and encouraging a slower, more mindful rhythm in the studio. Each piece is made in small batches at a considered pace, shaped by what I love to make and finished with care, to reflect the quiet, rugged landscape that surrounds me.
